Trudeau: Restrictions to return unless 80% of Canadians get boosted
With Federal Digital ID looming, the Government of Canada creates an opportunity.
Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, is threatening lockdowns this winter. Again.
Still clinging to the narrative that Covid shots are “the best tool we have to get back to normal”, he expects over 80% of Canadians to get the new bivalent Moderna booster, approved by Health Canada last week.
It doesn’t matter that the first two (or three, or four) shots have done nothing to slow the spread of Covid. It doesn’t matter that people are getting sick and dying from the shots. It doesn’t matter that individual risk of Covid is variable.
Justin Trudeau has a target to reach and he’s not going to let a silly thing like The Health Of Canadians get in his way.
With Ontario dissolving their own Covid response team, and a national Digital ID on the horizon, the fall booster program may well be the pathway to a federal passport system.
Just imagine how much simpler it would be for citizens to navigate all the federal government departments with just one ID. Digital ID empowers the individual, for the benefit of the collective.
Incredibly, the Digital ID system is being sold as “empowering” for the compliant, to the benefit of all of us.
Where have we heard that before?
